| Friendship House Project... |  | Feb. 28th, 2009 |
Great Job Interact! 24 students participated in the February service project at the Peoria Friendship House on Saturday, February 28th, 2009. In conjunction with the Rotary Club of Peoria-North, 2 rooms were painted (including ceiling tiles & bookshelves) and what seemed like a million roller skates were paired and shelved. A special thanks to Ms. Moe, Mr. Phelps and Mr. Bill Taylor who also volunteered their time to assist with the project…we appreciate it!

52 of the 67 members were in attendance at the charter ceremony held on January 14th, 2009 at the Richwoods High School auditorium. Presentations were made by Peoria-North Club President, Bill Pape; Interact Rotary advisor, Kevin Cook; District 6460 Assistant Governor, Jeff Randolph; Richwoods advisors Bill Phelps & Joanna Moe and Interact Club President, Eric Bergstresser.A lunch was served after the ceremony with a cake in celebration of the charter event.
A special “Thank You "to the following Peoria-North Rotary members who attended and assisted with the charter ceremony: KEVIN COOK, BILL PAPE, JEFF RANDOLPH, JIM BARRACK, MICHELE ANDERSON, CHERYL DAWSON, ROGER WEST, ED TAIWO, JENNIFER OLSON, CARLA PAYNE, CAM LAHART, KIM JOHNSTON, AMY POPARAD & JACK WILKINS.
Volunteers from the Richwoods High School Interact Club participated in the Center for Prevention of Abuse’s holiday party on Saturday, December 13th, 2008. The students helped with arts & crafts, games, reading stories & handing out gifts with Santa. A big thanks to the following students for demonstrating their commitment to Service Above Self! Richwoods Interact participates in Operation Santa In honor of Veteran’s Day, the newly chartered Interact Club at Richwoods High School, sponsored by Rotary Peoria-North, completed their first service project by writing over 50 letters of thanks and donating over 400 personal care and snack items to Operation Santa sponsored by the Central Illinois Family of Proud Marines. The Club also voted to contribute $50 of their club funds toward shipping costs to send the many items to the soldiers in Iraq.Great Job Interact!!
