Peoria North Rotary (PNR) Privacy Policy

What is personal information?
Personal information is information that identifies or describes a Rotarian or other individual, including but not limited to name, contact information and email address.

Why PNR collects personal information
PNR collects personal information to be used for the following purposes:

• Financial processing including but not limited to billing and payments.
• Supporting The Rotary Foundation including but not limited to fund development,grants,awards, recognition, and promotion.
• Tracking membership trends,identifying Rotarians for appointments to leadership positions and supporting membership retention.
• Communicating key organizational messages through PNR publications and appropriate club and district officers.
• Facilitating the planning and operation of international conventions and other meetings and special events.
• Supporting and further developing programs and service activities.
• Facilitating participation in programs and activities.
• Communicating information to non-Rotarians including but not limited to alumni and licensees.

When PNR may disclose personal information to others

PNR may disclose personal information about Rotarians and other individuals to others as necessary to facilitate the purposes of PNR.

For instance, PNR may provide personal information to organizations that perform administrative services on its behalf. In such cases, PNR requires these organizations to implement specific protections to safeguard this information.

Further, at the direction of the PNR Executive Director and the Board of Directors, PNR may occasionally participate in special advertising and/or marketing initiatives that involve the release of personal information.

PNR may also disclose personal information when:

• Such information is already otherwise available to the public.
• Such disclosure may be required by law.
• When necessary to protect the rights, privacy, safety or property of an individual or group.
• Protection of personal information

PNR will implement appropriate controls to monitor and assure compliance with this privacy statement, including the utilization of reasonable security measures to prevent unauthorized access to or inappropriate use of personal information. PNR will immediately respond to any unauthorized access to or inappropriate use of personal information or any other violation of this privacy statement.

PNR will protect the security of personal information on Rotary.org by using password-protected areas and other appropriate security measures. PNR will restrict access to personal information available on Rotary.org to appropriate persons.

Accuracy of personal information
PNR will take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information it retains is accurate. PNR will provide reasonable access to individuals seeking to confirm or correct their personal information.

PNR’s privacy statement
In its efforts to ensure that PNR is following appropriate privacy standards, PNR will periodically review and update as appropriate its privacy policy.
